BOOKS
This work presents the results of research that focuses on the relationship between vulnerability and economic and technological development in Mexico. These studies are multidisciplinary in nature and focus on social groups and emerging projects related to vulnerability. It is important to highlight that collective work in technological and economic development is essential to improve living conditions, combat poverty and reduce vulnerability in Mexico. The resources used in this analysis include proposals and practices carried out by researchers who are part of a multidisciplinary network and research groups dedicated to the social, technological and sustainable development of communities, both nationally and internationally.
This work reflects on the impact of the pandemic on education and health, focusing on changes in the way we provide care to users and students. The book is divided into three main axes.
The first axis focuses on education during and after the pandemic. Topics are addressed such as the challenges of university students in virtual education, the development of communicative competence, cultural and community educational projects, and the effects of social isolation on university academic performance.
The second axis examines the risks and obstacles to health and quality of life. Aspects such as mental health in times of pandemic, its impact on the academic performance of nursing students, mental health in women in the climacteric stage, and the risks of physical inactivity in social work students are explored.
The third axis presents educational experiences and strengthening projects. Included are strategies for biopsychosocial development and life skills in primary school students, the adaptation of Social Work students to the new normal, environmental education expectations, and social work intervention in drug consumption in young adolescents.
Together, the chapters offer a comprehensive view of the impacts of the pandemic on crucial areas such as education and health, and explore various initiatives to improve educational and health processes.
